Sunday School
Dupont Baptist Church would like to extend to you an invitation to our Sunday School. The following is a brief description of our Sunday School classes. There is a place for everyone.
Adult
On To Perfection Class (36 and up) Hebrews 6:1
Whether you are still working or enjoying the “Golden Years” of retirement, you are very vital to the work of the Lord. This class is geared toward the perfection of the Saints. It will help you to perfect your understanding of God’s teachings and your role in God’s plan. Our class gives adults a place to continue to grow in their faith and to show the wisdom they have achieved through experience.
Life Builders Class (18 thru 35) Hebrews 11:10
This class is aimed at reaching young adults and couples. The topics we cover each week will range over many issues of importance to people of our age group (18-35). It’s important to examine today’s issues from a Christian perspective, let’s see what the Bible says about it! We call our class “The Life Builders Class” because these are some of the most important years in our lives. These are the years when we look at marriage, building a family and raising our children.
Youth
Young people must be taught the clear commandments of God's Word. The purpose of the local
church youth ministry is to help equip families with the necessary tools from God's Word to lay the right foundation for the rest of life. It is our task to keep the young people involved in Christian activities while apart from home and family. We must work to help entire families serve the Lord together. It is essential for our youth ministries to walk with God and work with parents.
The Timothy Class (7th thru 12th) Timothy 2:2
This is a pivotal time of a young mans life. Many decisions that are made at this time will put them on a path. We would like to help you provide a Christian influence with a rock solid foundation in our Lord and in the Bible. This class is provided to help teach respect, responsibility and honor.
Lilies Of The Field (7th thru 12th) Song of Solomon 2:2
This is also a pivotal time in the lives of these young ladies. Many decisions are made that can affect the rest of their lives. We would like to help instill Christian values grounded in the Word of God. Respect, modesty and the love of God are words we would like to use to describe this class.
Ambassadors Class (Junior Boys 4th thru 6th)
What can be said about this class. This is one of the most influential times in a young mans life. The values that are applied at this age affect the rest of their lives. We would like to help reinforce the high personal standards that are set at home, like manors, respect, courtesy and a very solid foundation in the word of God.
Girls Of Grace (4th thru 6th) Ephesians 2:8
As with the junior boys class, these young ladies are taught how to be a young lady. We feel that the Word of God is the very best way to raise our children. Let us help you give them a strong foundation in the Lord.
The Beginners Class (1st thru 3rd)
This class is where the beginning of the true bible fundamentals are laid down. This class uses a variety of stories, music and visual aides to gain and hold the child’s attention, while never leaving the Word of God.
Busy Bees: (3 thru K)
This is the time in a young child’s life when they learn through play. This class is geared toward songs, games, stories and activities that teach young people about God on a level they can enjoy and understand.
Nursery (Infant thru 2)
Nothing serves as so precious a reminder of God's blessing to us as the birth of a child. Every newborn baby should have the joy and privilege of being brought into a truly Christian home. It is the responsibility of the local church nursery to provide all the help possible to parents as they seek to serve the Lord.
